The 2012 National Report Cards

I missed the live televised speech yesterday, and haven’t yet had a chance to review either document, but you can download the annual reports via the links below:

  1. Economic Transformation Programme
  2. Government Transformation Programme

Bank Negara will be issuing their annual report later this afternoon, so any analysis and commentary will have to wait.

As for the other bit of sensational news yesterday, you can view the original here (both film and commentary).

Just one thing to bear in mind however: Global Witness are quoting the GFI numbers on illicit capital flows from Malaysia, but fail to note that 80% of these flows arise from trade mispricing i.e. non-corruption related (unless you count MNC tax avoidance strategies as corruption).

Sarawak rainforest cleared by Chinese tokay balak. It used to be a joke, tokay balak are so rich, any ridiculous ideas would end with, kalau macam ni Tokay Balak pun bankrap.

But it is no laughing matter now. The chinese migrants together with Taib must be brought to justice if they really had cleared 90 percent of the rainforests in Sarawak while the natives remain poor as in the documentary.

Highlighting these issues is very good because people actually are concerned about nature. They willingly switch off the lights to conserve energy for one night not knowing that the IPPs burned 40% every day more energy than TNB need!!!

But with education, the people will be enraged with EPu Affendi nawawi, for creating false shortage just so they can enrich a few cronies.

If the people knows that rainforests in Sabah and Sarawak, Kedah, Kelantan are being cut so that diesels can be produced and burn to pollute the air they will be enraged.

The oil palm and plantation tokays are reaping billions while polluting the environment and raping rainforests. Diesel is a cancer causing agent. Just google. It is ironic that rainforests is used to create cancer among the people.

Malaysia greedy capitalists have cut down so much rainforests to plant oil palm until there is now a glut. Malaysia inventory is full to the brim to prevent oil palm price from falling more.

Its all in the papers. To try to prevent this glut these Chinese planters urge govt to use in B10.

Let me share this with you.

“The oil palm industry is facing several challenges, including oversupply and reduced demand from China and Europe.

“Thus, the ministry has set up the B10 programme to mitigate the problem and hopefully by next year we will see the price of palm oil stabilise and increase,” said Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Tan Sri Bernard Dompok.

Under the B10 programme, 10% of bio-diesel will be blended with petroleum diesel, up from 5% previously in non-subsidised sectors.

At least one million tonnes of crude palm oil a year are estimated to be utilised through B10."

Please share this knowledge. How Malaysia is cutting rainforest to plant oil palm to produce diesel to burn in cars.
